Beautiful orange fluorescent mineral specimen.

Afghanite is a rare mineral often found in association with Pyrite, Calcite and other minerals from the Sodalite group like, Sodalite and Lazurite. It is predominantly known from Afghanistan but records from other countries are known.

We offer a range of combination-specimens and crystal specimens from Afghanistan. The photos were taken in bright sunlight to bring out the best colour. Please note that the fluorescence vary according to the UV wavelength and strength of the light. The photo of the fluorescent mineral is only an indication of the fluorescent colour.
